Kelly Gray grew up in San Jose and holds a USSF A coaching license. He attended University of Portland on a soccer scholarship and was an All-American in 2001. He was drafted #5 in the MLS Superdraft to the Chicago Fire by Bob Bradley. He player professionally for the Chicago Fire, San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo, Colorado Rapids and LA Galaxy. He won the Supporters Shield (Best team in the league) in 2003 and 2005 and won the MLS Cup in 2006. He also won the US Open Cup in 2003. He was a member of the 2001 U-20 Men’s National Team and a starter for the US at the 2001 Youth World Cup in Argentina. He was the captain of the U-23 Olympic team leading up to qualifying for the 2004 Olympics in Greece. He has been coaching competitively for 14 years.
